      Please note

        1. The "Pedestrian Only" Reality

Casa Giuliani is located in the heart of Capri's historic center.

        • No Cars: Taxis and buses cannot reach the front door. Guests will need to walk from the Piazzetta (approx. 5–7 minutes).
        • Luggage Porterage: This is essential. We strongly recommend booking a "Porto-Hotel" luggage service at the Marina Grande pier. Porters use specialized electric carts to deliver bags directly to the villa, allowing guests to walk unencumbered.

        2. Finding the Taxi Stand

Since the villa is in a car-free zone, the "gateway" for any vehicle-based excursion (like the trip to the Faro) is the Piazza Martiri d’Ungheria taxi stand.

        • It is located just a few steps down from the main Piazzetta clock tower.
        • The taxis in Capri are often open-top convertibles—stylish, but it's wise to bring a scarf or hat for the wind.

        3. Boat Tour Logistics

        • Meeting Point: The tour with Mr. Costanzo departs from Marina Grande .
        • Getting There: Guests should leave the villa 20–30 minutes early to take the Funicular (the cable car from the Piazzetta to the port) or a taxi down.
        • Sea Conditions: Boat tours are subject to weather. It’s always good to have Day 3 as a "backup" in case the sea is too rough on Day 2.

        4. Walking and Footwear

Capri is made of limestone and ancient cobblestones.

        • The Terrain: Even a "luxury" experience involves walking. Suggest that guests wear comfortable but chic flats or the famous handmade Capri sandals. High heels are notoriously difficult on the narrow, sloped alleys.

        5. Booking & Timing

        • The Blue Grotto: If guests wish to enter the Blue Grotto during their boat tour, they must pay a separate entry fee (cash only) to the official rowboat operators. There is often a wait time that can eat into the 4-hour tour.
        • Peak Sun: For the Lido del Faro day, remind them that the walk to the taxi stand is uphill/downhill; scheduling the taxi for after 2:00 PM allows them to avoid the midday heat.
        What to bring

          1. The "Capri Uniform" (Clothing)

          • Chic Flats or Sandals: Essential for the walk from Casa Giuliani to the Piazzetta. Leave the stilettos at home; the limestone paths are slippery and uneven.
          • Linen Everything: Breathable linen shirts, trousers, or dresses are the gold standard for staying cool and looking polished at the Lido del Faro .
          • Light Layer/Pashmina: Even in summer, the breeze on a Mr. Costanzo boat tour or an evening walk in the pedestrian alleys can be surprisingly cool.
          • Swimwear & Cover-up: High-end swimwear for the boat and the beach club. A stylish cover-up is required if you move from the sunbed to the Faro’s restaurant for lunch.

          2. Day-Trip Essentials

          • Soft-Sided Tote Bag: Easier to manage on a boat and in a taxi than a structured backpack.
          • Sun Protection: A wide-brimmed hat (with a chin strap or tight fit for the boat) and high-quality SPF. The Mediterranean sun reflects intensely off the white limestone.
          • Polarized Sunglasses: Not just for style—they are crucial for seeing through the turquoise water to the sea caves during your boat tour.

          3. Practical Gear

          • Portable Power Bank: Between the views from the walking tour and the sunset at the Faro, your phone battery will drain quickly from photos.
          • Cash (Euros): While the Beach Club and Mr. Costanzo take cards, you will need cash for the Funicular tickets, small tips for porters/drivers, or the Blue Grotto entry fee (which is cash-only).
          • Refillable Water Bottle: Capri has several historic stone fountains with fresh, cold water. It's an eco-friendly way to stay hydrated during your walking tour.

          4. Documentation

          • Digital/Physical Vouchers: Ensure you have your Bokun confirmation codes for the boat tour and the Beach Club reservation saved offline.
